ARMADA's Bio
Ahh, well you have stumpled on a very interesting page, have you not? Well, let's see......It all started about March of 2002, between John and Drew, who at the time did not know each other too good, but were still friends. They were at this meeting thing, and yes Rick was there nobody cared about him, or his unknown talent though, not yet. Well Drew and John were bored, and just started talking about random junk. A little while into the conversation John jokingly brought up the idea that we should form a band. We talked and relized that Drew could play the guitar which he already has been doing for years, and John could play the drums which he knew how to do. So we were both free for a couple of hours a few weeks later on a Friday in April when the now present name ARMADA got together for the first time. During that practice we came up with one of our favorite and best songs unnamed at the time (TWO-NATIOUS). A band name was never really pondered till a week or so later, when John came up with the name Two-Nations Drew had a crappy name for the band Bat Mite, Two-Nations from our backgrounds, John's Irish, and Drew's Lithuanian. A week or so later the band name was changed again to TWO-NATIOUS, cause Drew thought Two-Nations was kinda corny. So there it was, the band TWO-NATIOUS with an unnamed song. John and Drew mainly Drew, decided that we need a 3rd person. So we searched and settled for a kid named Lor Katz (Laugh) at the time none of us never really knew him, big mistake, but he was hired. We hired Lor because of services he was able to offer us. Lor and Drew were on the phone on May 22, 2002 at apprx. 10:00 P.M. when the name TWO-NATIONS, which nobody really liked was changed to ARMADA. During our next practice our song got a name TWO-NATIOUS to remember our past. John and Drew were growing mad at Lor for he constant lies and broken promises. Drew was desperate to keep him in and John wanted him out now. So Drew told John 1 more chance. Lor was on the boardwalk in Vetnor N.J. calling Drew from his cell phone. On the phone Lor and Drew got into and Arguement and fired Lor from the band, he says he quit but whatever. Armada hated Lor. Over that summer, nothing really happened things devolped slow until.....John and Drew were at a camp in N.H. when we stumpled across Rick (Not a Coincidence that he was there) John asked Rick to join the band on that mid July evening at the volleyball court near the campsite. Rick willingly excepted, thinking nothing of it, like they would never practice, etc. A week or two later ARMADA got together for our first full prctice, Rick for Drums, John on Bagpipes (He's a Pro), and guitar, and Drew on lead guitar, and volcals. A vow was made that Rick must never meet Lor.ARMADA was now a band, things devolped at a good speed, with constant new songs. The ARMADA website was created probaly about late August earlty September of 2002, CD ideas devolped, the usual. The normal keeped on happening for a little while. The day that started winter break in 2002, Drew became neutral with Lor again. And so did John. Also earlier in December John told the band that he was moving, not far though only about an hour. On January 8th the band got together one last time before John moved, Self-Titled was created. We worked furiously on it and were still recording at 2 o'clock in the morning as you may be able to tell in some of the songs. After that Lor is trying to get back into the band, so Drew told Lor get us some gigs and your in as a manager. He has gotten some but more or still needed. As of 8:56p.m on 8/14/03 John term in the band was ended. The lost of a founding father.

WAIT ARMADA'S SONGS ACTUALLY HAVE MEANING
"The Ballad of Frank William Abagnale Jr."- Written by Rick and John. John and Rick had recently seen the movie "Catch Me If You Can" starring Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio. Leo's name in the film Frank William Abagnale Jr. inspired us to write the name. The lyrics are all things from the movie. We're kind of incoherent so if you saw the movie, read the lyrics so you can understand. The best part is the the songs isn't even a ballad, it's a hard-chord punk song!
"It's Better to Be Brief Than Boring"- Lyrics written by Rick and John. When we were looking for tabs online for "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana, it printed horizontally and had about 8 pages. The last page said "It is Better to Be Brief Than Boring"- Email Me as Matt Harvey@harve.com. We knew we had to write a song. (Matt harvey once told me...)
"Fridiged"-Written by Drew like most of his songs in his basement. The inspiration came from missery childhood. Talking about how he was always left in the cold (Fridiged), even though its spelled wrong intenionaly its ok. Anywho Fridiged also was just a song to throw in some stuff for the heck of it i.e. "Practice Wicca like im Jamacian," how does a Jamacian practice Wiccan? O well it was just a what the heck kinda serious song.
"Helium"-Written by Drew after he got back from a party with lots of hellium balloons. Well I guess the rest is self-explanatory.
"Two Irish Guys Walked Out Of A Bar"-A joke started by John, lyrics for the original version written by Drew the rest of the lyrics were written by Rick, which are really hard to do while playing the song. The lyrics were written off of the joke. Some of you may be wondering whats the joke well here it is, Two Irish Guys Walked Out Of A Bar, there you go the whole thing. Now if you think, when was the last time an Irish Guy Walked Out of A Bar. Exactly. Even though its not that funny o well.
